Kevin Thornton
Kevin Thornton is a vocalist originally from Franklin, Kentucky, USA. He attended Western Kentucky University where he completed his Bachelors in Music Education (Instrumental and Voice) degree. Kevin spent the next eight years in Orlando, FL, where he performed with local vocal groups such as The Dickens Carolers, 4thFloor a cappella group, The Orlando Lyric Opera, and Bergamo’s Italian Restaurant Singers. Kevin has been seen in shows such as: "1776" as the Courier, Lun Tau in "The King and I," "The Music Man," "My Fair Lady," Frankie in "Forever Plaid," Rusty Charlie in "Guys and Dolls," and Johnny in "My Big Fat Italian Reunion". In 2005 Kevin moved to Tokyo to perform as the lead vocalist for the a cappella group, “The Dockside Porters” at Tokyo Disney Sea. Following Tokyo Disney, Kevin sang with the world famous, Dapper Dans quartet at Hong Kong Disneyland. In 2008, Kevin found his home with Metro Vocal Group as a vocalist, arranger, vocal percussionist, and song writer. He has continued to perform with MVG throughout Asia and is on faculty for the American Vocal Studio. Specializing in musical theater, jazz, and pop music, Kevin teaches a variety of ages and skill levels.
