We are very excited to present our American Vocal Christmas Camp! This unique holiday event will consist of three days of daily classes from 9am to 3:30pm. Students aged 8 to 18 should be prepared for an intense, fun schedule of classes of singing, a cappella training, dance, drama, and music production/recording with elite instructors at the top of their fields. No audition necessary. Those campers interested in singing one of five solo pieces for the grand concert, must submit a one minute audition piece of their choice. The winners will be announced prior to the start of the camp. Come join us for this exciting, holiday event!
New to 2021 - Masterclasses
We are thrilled to be having three amazing guest artists joining our new Masterclass sessions at AVSCC 2021 via online learning and live. Currently performing in the Broadway musical, SIX, Sam Pauly, will be working with two selected(by video audition) students, while also singing for and chatting with AVSCC students. Deke Sharon, Music director for all the Pitch Perfect movies, is an inspiration to all performers, and students are guaranteed to be pumped up and ready to perform after his session. Music Producer, Michael Lance, will do his magic as students together create an original song in just one hour using technology the students can use from home.
How will it all end? In one grand performance of course!
This exceptional camp will finish with a concert in which the students perform a variety of solos, small and large ensemble pieces, a cappella, all carefully selected for each student from popular musicals, movies, and pop songs.
Don't be afraid if this is your first experience on the stage, our expert faculty members will personalize each student's course based on age and background, with music chosen to perfectly fit each student.
AVSCC will take all precautions necessary to protect its participants and faculty. Each participant must take a COVID-19 nucleic acid test. Results must be sent to our staff prior to their arrival. Social distancing and masks will be mandatory during rehearsals. Each participant must bring their own lunch to be eaten on the open air patio on the fifth floor of the venue. If the government enforces stricter guidelines prior to the camp, refunds will be issued. Again, the safety of our participants is always our number one concern. We know we can have a fun, successful program even while navigating through these unique times! We hope to see you this December!
